Two-time defending Coastal Carolina Aquatic Association champion Coosaw Creek pulled within 20½ points of Snee Farm on the second day of the three-day City Swim Meet at the Jewish Community Center on Monday night.

Daniel Island is also within 47½ points of the lead in the meet which concludes today with the mixed medley and freestyle relays. Racing is scheduled to start at 5:50 p.m.

Meanwhile, records continued to fall in a big way, highlighted by the efforts of Coosaw Creek’s Micah Bohon, who set new CCAA records in all three of her swims.

Bohon tied for first with Daniel Island’s Megan Kingsley in the 15-18 girls 50 butterfly at 29.28, the first of Bohon’s three records.

She followed that with meet records in the 15-18 girls 50 breaststroke (34.49) and 100 individual medley (1:05.62).

Snee Farm’s Andrew Bagley set two records in the 15-18 boys butterfly (26.29) and backstroke (26.79).

The standout race of the night was swum by Coosaw Creek’s Jackson Seith, who broke the CCAA record in the 13-14 boys 50 breaststroke by over two seconds with a time of 31.45.

Shadowmoss and Parkshore each jumped four positions in the team standings, with the Sharks moving up to fourth and the Piranhas to sixth. Northbridge Terrace is in fifth place.
