Woodward to teach seminar at Yale

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Bob Woodward is scheduled to teach a journalism seminar at Yale University in the spring.

Woodward and Washington Post colleague Carl Bernstein helped break the Watergate scandal in the 1970s that led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon.

Woodward, himself a 1965 Yale graduate, tells the Yale Daily News that he hopes to teach students about the intensive and immersive reporting method he developed throughout his career.

Woodward says there’s a place for “total immersive journalism” at a time when the media is defined by “impatience and speed.”

Woodward also has written a dozen best-selling books and is now associate editor at the newspaper.
