A dispute between neighbors prompted a shooting that wounded two people in a Cross neighborhood on Monday, Berkeley County sheriff’s deputies said.
Gunshots erupted at a home on Mudville Road, Sheriff’s Capt. Rick Ollic said.
One person was transported to Medical University Hospital by helicopter for treatment of injuries sustained in the shooting, Ollic said. A second person was treated for minor injuries, he said.
The shooting was the result of an argument between a group of neighbors, Ollic said.
Ollic said sheriff’s deputies have arrested a suspect in the case. The accused person has not yet been publicly identified.
