The Lowcountry Initiative for the Literary Arts (LILA) has announced its spring series of readings and writing workshops, to be held at Circular Congregational Church, 150 Meeting St. All events are open to LILA members and the general public.
Readings ($5 suggested donation) will take place in the sanctuary; workshops ($30; $20 members, seniors and students) will be in Lance Hall adjacent to the church.
"Complicating the Poem" workshop with Susan Laughter Meyers: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. April 26.
Screenwriting workshop with Peter Wentworth: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. May 3.
Day of Giving, LILA Open House: 5-7 p.m. May 6 (Lance Hall)
Editing workshop with Signe Pike and Ellie Davis: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. May 10 ($40; $30 members). Application deadline is April 15. For requirements, go to www.lilaconnects.com.

"Inside Scholarly Publishing Today" with Alexander Moore: 10 a.m.-noon May 24.
